The Magnetics
We were born on a planet in a distant solar system with a dying star. We barely escaped with our lives in a small transport just large enough for all of us. We traveled thousands of years, while in suspended animation, and arrived to your planet around the time of the pharaohs. We were worshipped as kings but were eventually over-thrown by another race of aliens from a previously unknown star system. We were put in palatial tombs where we once again slept until the dawn of the 21st century.
Members of The Magnetics have been in numerous bands. Some of which have included Dirt Fishermen, System and Station, Kid Corduroy, Butterfly Train, State of Confusion, Psychik-not, Grind, Gusto, King Pancake and Khuzar Suede. We have released two CDs. Self-titled in 2003 and the most recent ‘…Like it Better When You’re Not Around’ in December 2007. We know that our home planet has long since been destroyed, our loved ones perished. We have built new lives in your world and want to share the advanced knowledge of rock that we have acquired. We plan to be in the studio sometime late 2009 to record our third CD.
