Revolt Revolt

Revolt Revolt
GaNgWay!!!!!!!- ReVoLtReVoLt- began in the fall of 2007 when Chris Bock and Jasin Serna began playing the “BOCK” material (Bock’s solo venture). C had booked some dates out of town in the Portland area, and friends suggested J Play drums for the shows.
Serna and Bock played their first shows together as a two piece away from home at Portland’s Towne Lounge.
It was just the beginning of what came to be the new revolution in rock for the duo. The two performed several shows (mostly out of town gigs) cementing their styles, and furthering their relationships as fellow musicians. After a few months of playing out,
Jasin began sharing material with Bock, and the two began collaborating and writing on a regular basis. Four new songs soon joined the set. It was then decided that a new name and recording dates be slated for 08
They played around the Northwest for a few shows under the name “BOCK” and then “SERNABOCK” until the name ReVoLtReVoLt was settled on. March was a busy month for the band with the filming of their first video for the song The Infection, an interview, a podcast interview, Portland dates, and writing/tracking for the debut album.
J and C threw the idea of another member for quite sometime, and played with some great folks here and there. Ben Brunn (Nevada Bachelors) crossed paths with the guys, and began rehearsing regularly. He became the perfect fit in what is now a solid 3 piece sounding like 5 or more at times. Ben’s ability to lock driving bass lines that carry strong melodic colors help solidify the ReVoLt sound. His first show was at the Terrapin Station in Boise, Id for the Boise Beats Halloween bash (see photos), and he has been key in strengthening the sound and attitude at large with ReVoLtReVoLt.
“It’s great to finally be in a band of guys that have similar goals and are willing to do what it takes to get to the next town, the next show, and look at what we can achieve rather than whats holding us down”-cbock
To really be able to appreciate the band and their sound you need to catch them live. Their set is no-nonsense straight forward garage/punk/rock that can become an animal of its own when performed live. Every show is different, and the band appreciates the new directions that unfold and present themselves
